Welcome to the ROBOT FIGHTING ARENA

Today we’re seeing the most fantastic steel gladiators of this year’s Robot Fighting League season. The fighting robots are already waiting for their turn with their engines running. The crowd is screaming for sparking laser blast action and the operators are just waiting for the starting whistle to finally get going and set their control consoles alight. An unprecedented spectacle of cybernetic devastation awaits us! And in the end, there will only be one operator who stands victorious in the arena with his robot. LET THE BATTLES BEGIN!

In VOLT, each player takes on the role of a Robot Operator who pits his robot against the other players’ robots in a battle arena. When “programming” the next 3 steps, each Operator tries to anticipate the movements of the other robots in order to destroy them or gain control of victory point fields himself.VOLT contains easy-to-understand training rules, but also includes various modules for experienced players to make their robot battles even more exciting and merciless. Plan your next moves ahead and quickly grab a starting number to make your robot run or shoot at just the right moment later. Push the other robots into pits or blast them away with your laser to score victory points. Sounds simple – and it is, at least according to the rules. Getting the others without taking a hit yourself can be quite a challenge. Fortunately, destroyed robots don’t have to wait long for their next mission. They start again in the next round.

VOLT is a completely revised and expanded new edition of Emerson Matsuuchi’s VOLT: Robot Battle Arena. Thanks to its simple basic rules, exciting imponderables and tactical possibilities in the advanced game, the game is suitable for both families and frequent players. VOLT also includes sophisticated A.I. rules for the game with 2-3 players as well as a tournament variant. VOLT is designed as a game-in-a-box, in which the game boards are placed in the box insert and thus form a 3D battle arena together with the arena posts. The game is equipped with detailed, high-quality robot miniatures, comes with semi-transparent dice and includes stylish, practical and graphically visually appealing playing cards as well as many other components designed with attention to detail.

Your VOLT game is now equipped with colourful bases for your robot figures (from the 2nd edition)! For a better overview in the VOLT arena, each robot now has a base in its player colour (red, yellow, green, blue). Simply place your figure on it and off you go. (You can of course also try out whether the bases fit on other figures with a base of 2.5 cm diameter.)

And the most important thing at the end: VOLT is a lot of fun!

In 1989, Harald Bilz and Peter Gutbrod founded the Heidelberger Spieleverlag to publish their own game ideas. With Neolithibum 1992 (Top 10 of the German Game Award) the young publishing house could celebrate its first bigger success. As a development studio they want to concentrate on games that build a bridge between family games and...
