The Rattlesnake (Escape from New York)
The Rattlesnake transports you into the special atmosphere of the 1982 cult film by old master John Carpenter.
The whole of Manhattan has become the biggest prison in the world. You take on the role of Snake Plissken, Brain, Maggie and Cabbie, the iconic taxi driver. In a race against time, you explore the dangerous streets of New York, searching for the President, the all-important tape cassette and a sketch of the bridge you want to escape across without being blown to bits by a mine. Work together or betray each other to fulfil your own objectives and escape from New York alone. Whatever you choose, you’ll have to face the gangs of Manhattan, led by the Duke of New York and two other terrifying adversaries, Romero and Slag.

As you move, you’ll gradually explore New York City to find the President, the tape cassette and the sketch of a bridge. With each move, you can uncover more parts of the city and gradually create the game map. You can also find new equipment and prepare for battle. Vehicles are particularly useful as they allow you to cover longer distances quickly – because you only have a limited amount of time for your mission.

The Rattlesnake – Ecape from New York is now available in German from HeidelBÄRen. The game is aimed at fans of the film as well as anyone who is in the mood for an exciting board game adventure.

The game offers semi-cooperative fun. Together you try to fulfil the task and leave New York City. However, each person also has their own goal that they can pursue. So watch out if your friends turn against you.
