The Type G tank had sloped armour, a powerful 700 hp Maybach V12 engine and a turret set well back on the hull with a 75 mm Kwk42 L/70 cannon.
The main gun had a far more devastating effect than its size of 75 mm would suggest due to the very long drive charge and high muzzle velocity.
